Whenever we think, hear or read about China, it is important to keep one-often overlooked-statistic in mind. China’s M2 money currently stands at roughly US$ 22 trillion, or more than 200% of China’s GDP. America’s M2 money supply is at around US$ 13 trillion (less than 80% of US GDP), even though the US$ is effectively the world reserve currency!
